Why do we recycle waste lube oil?
From the perspective of saving resources and protecting the environment, the refining of waste lube oil is an economically attractive recycling method. It allows the disposal of hazardous substances in a safe and effective manner to recover high-quality petroleum products like LGO, gasoline, diesel, base oil etc.
Considering the oil price, this leads to a strong economic incentive for recycling. Waste oil re-refining can produce group I and group II base oil or VGO by Purepath Exclusive designed vacuum distillation machine, the product could be used as near virgin lube oil from oil refinery.
Waste lube oil is usually a mixture of different types and grades of waste lubricating oil from motor crankcase and industrial users. Used lube oil is made up of a multitude of small individual batches collected at garages, maintenance shops, transportation companies and industries and depends on local situation, seasonal consumption, collection source and organization.
Production Introduction of Used Oil Refining Plant For Base Oil
A fractionation vacuum distillation column or wiped film evaporator or molecular distillation is optional to ensure the genuine continuous of vacuum distillation plant, and reduce the pressure drop to keep a sustained and stable high vacuum. A sustained and stable high vacuum ensures the vacuum distillation to separate light distillates and heavy distillates in the moderate temperature. It largely avoids high temperature distillation to crack the molecular chain, which leads to reducing of flash point and viscosity and purity of final base oil products. Used lube oil is generally a mixture of different types and grades of used lube oils, coming from motor crankcases and industry users like used engine oil, internal combustion motor oil, hydraulic oil, gear oil, transmission oil etc.. How does a TFE working?
A Thin Film Evaporator consists of a cylindrical shell with internal rotor and external heating jacket. The feed is distributed by the rotor blades and spread on the heated wall to form an highly turbulent thin layer. And oil fractions are evaporated and flow out up towards the vapor outlet. Heavy components flow in a spiral path down to the bottom. Compared with kettle reaction, it could avoid overheating, localing heating, oil cracking and fouling largely. It's with short path from distillation to condensation process, could produce high viscosity base oil in a stable high vacuum.
